Wind in the Willows. Emmanuel Art Gallery. 2021.

Situated at the confluence of the Platte River and Cherry Creek, the neighborhood of Auraria held significance for Indigenous people long before prospectors discovered gold there. As the oldest religious structure in Denver, the building where Emmanuel Gallery now resides originally housed a Christian church, and then a Jewish synagogue, before its current secular function as an art gallery. Wind in the Willows integrates traditional and folk practices to reimagine the spiritual power of contemporary art through works that are both objects and visual Pagan poetry.
